HAPPY NEW YEAR!! NEW Website, NEW Art.....NEW..NEW!!
Happy New Year Everyone!!
Its a new year and I have been working on some Awesome stuff. I am recovering from Bronchitis for the past 2 weeks so things have been slow and the holidays were kinda boring this year for me. BUT..The New Year holds many wonderful things happening.
Lets start with a new Web site design which will be designed by the Very Talented Mr.Savage once again. I think it is time for a Facelift a whole new look. It has been several years since i first launched my site but i think its time for a new look and EASIER SHOPPING experience for everyone. My NEW site will have a Shopping cart so anyone that wishes to purchase art from me wether it be an original painting or print they can do so from my site. No secondary sites. I will still host auctions on Ebay as I always find that to be fun. For the many that just want to straight up buy from me can do so without the other sites. The Website shopping experience will be very easy and i will update it weekly with new items. Trying to keep up with other website fees and keeping track of personal emails was difficult.
I will have MANY new prints this year more then any before. I have many NEW unique Antique finds that i have fixed up and made my own that will be posted to the site ready for sale. Lots of weird furniture finds and one of a kind Coffin boxes and Coffin bookshelves! I will also be selling T-shirts this fall. Right on time for Halloween. The site should be kicked off by the beginning of APRIL. So keep your eyes peeled here for some weird stuff.
March my little baby boy is due. Should be very interesting since I already have 2 Beautiful, little girls. A boy thrown in the mix should bring my life a twist. I am looking forward to it and I am very excited for the future.
On to The ever so VERY Popular Mimi....The books are coming along after a very long break. Just life sometimes gets in the way and Heather Jones Taylor and I are pushing forward and VERY EXCITED for Mimis personality and adventures to surface to everyones minds. Heather is a truley talented writer I think you will agree when the book is finished and you get to peek inside the LIfe of Mimi Quinine. Detailed illustrations are on the way and chapters have been ending and close to a finsih on the first book. I am very excited and will not give up this year until this first book is finished.
I will post many Fall shows that i will be attending on my blog this spring.

Halloween is gone..BRING ON THE HOLIDAYS! Great Sale this month!
Good day to you. I hope everyone had a nice Halloween. Mine was not so nice..We got 12 inches of snow and my power was out for 3 days. So Halloween was crushed this year for me. Lets hope next years a much more FUN!

Halloween Weekend
Hello Ghoulies,its friday the start of the Halloween Weekend. Make sure you have fun this weekend, find a costume contest get out there and don't be a party pooper this year! Scare your friends scare your neighbors :D The weather has been wicked the past few days here in NY and we have already have seen snow...UGH!! Lets cross our fingers for clear cool crisp weather over the weekend through Monday night!I'm going to be a veryold wacky witch for halloween and yes i will post pictures :) What will you be?

PRINTS PRINTS PRINTS ....OHH and more Prints!
OOOH Halloween is right at your front door!! Is everyone getting excited? Do you have your costumes picked out? Halloween Parties,zombie crawls,anyone attending any Vampire Balls? Tonight i will be crawling out to The Village Invasion Hosted by Captain Cruella in Saugerties, NY. Should be a Ghouly Good time. Anyone that goes be sure to dress in your bloodiest attire as there will be prizes for all sorts of zombies. Including some of my Spooky Prints. So get your carcus out and about and have some FUN!!
OK so I have been working on some prints for your guys and I should have more available in Mid November. Right on time for your Holiday Gift giving. Remember not everyone likes paintings of flowers and puppies...especially if you are looking at my site or reading this blog. I promise to have a mixture of Halloween, Gothic and girly pin ups available for you. I will be working with chad Savage to update my website and hopefully by the beginning of Feb I will be revamping the look of my site as well. Along with these prints i will be doing some fun Holiday themed pieces along with some winter themed witch hats, these hats will come along with wood stands and will be available in assorted sizes. I will have hand painted paper and glass ornies for your tree, Of course paintings as well. All will be out right after Halloween. Halloween is ALMOST here!! Sooo is Christmas :D

Halloween has creeped up so fast its GREAT!! I have been enjoying all of the Horror Movie madness on the television. Although I have been waking up very early mornings it kinda stinks when you fall asleep very early while watching Great Horror classics like the Shinning!!
I am still having difficulties updating my albums here on my website. The webmaster is workong with me on this problem. Your best bet is to find me on facebook "My Eclectic Mind" the art of Heather Gleason or on Ebay. Ebay you can view up to date art that is for sale. I will be posting 3 day auctions for the few weeks so everyone can get their art before Hallween decorationg and gift giving!!
November i will be attending some smaller local shows here in the Hudson Valley. I will post those events as soon as they become permanent. I will have Holiday themed pieces. NEW PRINTS, original paintings,Witch hats, ornies,Boxes,Small Dolls. All in time for Christmas. I will keep you updated HERE! :) Well its back to creating I will chat with you soon!!!

Update future shows Eclectic Show at BSQ (Beacon) and Celebrating Womens Confrenece( Albany)
Well hello everyone. Just a quick update on my website and for new visitors. All images on my website have not been updated for several months please give me about 2 weeks to do updating on images and pricing. REMINDER:
I have 2 shows i will be attending in the next 2 weeks. One starting September 30th at BSQ in Beacon NY. The party starts at 8pm anyone attending the gallery opening will get to try some specialtiy brewed pumpking ales and other smashed pumpkin beers on Tap along with some the areas best coffees and other beverages. What kind of party would this be without a bandcome check it out and hang out for a few hours listen to some awesome music drink beer and get some spooky art! :D
October 6th I will be traveling to ALBANY to the Mariot on Wolf Road to Celebrate St. Peters Celebration to Women. Vendors will line the Foyer of the Hotel. Women of all ages will attend. I hope to see you there. Show starts at 3:30 and ends at 7pm. I hope to see some of you there. I will have plenty of New art for the show. :)

Halloween and Horror nights are right around the corner will you be ready??
Good day to you Boyls and ghouls!! Summer flew by sooo quickly where did it go?? I am still pasty white no tan how did that happen? I guess it will be easier to look scary for Halloween!!
Few updates for shows...I will NOT be attending General Montgomery day. I will selling my work at ht ebelow shows hope you can make it.
Last weeekend in September the Hudson Valley Garlic Festival Kantine Field, Saugerties NY. My most favorite FUN show to attend! Stop by say HELLO PLease!!
Nyack Street festival Oct 9th
For the Whole month of October a select number of original pieces will be hung at the Bank Square Coffee House in Beacon, NY. A few pieces will be made just for this hanging. Check it out!

Show Dates and NEWS.....
WEll Happy Spring!!! I have found a new place to create FINALLY, So I am happily painting again on a weekly basis. I am back on track and have new artwork to show. I will have Shows set up almost every weekend this fall.
Here are just a few dates that I have set up so far...
-"General Montgomery Day" Montgomery, NY September
-"Hudson Valley Garlic Festival" Kantine Field Saugerties, NY September 24,25th
-"Nyack Street Festival" Nyack, NY October 9th
These are just a few shows I have scheduled. As more dates come in I will post them to my blog. I will have gallery shows set up as well but most of these shows my artwork will be shipped to a coordinator out of state and most likely I will not attend unless I note this. The shows above are Large Art Shows/ Street festivals where my work is set up in full boutique. I attend these shows and meet with collectors first hand. I hope to see some of you this fall.

The book is on a roll, and first shipment of artwork will be sent to the Author Heather Jones Taylor at the beginning of June. Both our schedules and life got in the way of creating Mimi and her adventures but she still in fact would love to tell you her story. Keep your eyes out for more info on the making of this great book!!
Onto something more personal. To the many that have been asking, Please realize the past 6 months have been brutal for me. I lost contact with many people as dealing with personal life, moving, not having a place to live and dealing with Schizophrenia is not an easy task! Having a permanent place to lay my head and FINALLY have all my Artwork and art supplies in one spot helps ALOT! I am finally getting my mind free of distraction and putting all my thoughts into painting. I hope you will stop back to see the new works I have created. Thank you for all your support and understanding :)

The Madman's Masquerade and Halloween Art Exhibit
Come on out to the Old Kingston Shirt Factory in Kingston, NY October 16th for a night of Frightfully great entertainment.
The Shirt Factory is home to over 40 Eclectic Artists and entrepreneurs. Take a stroll around the old brick building which was built in 1917. Take in all of the Hauntingly spectacular decorations and life size spooky wax Dioramas by Artist Sigrid Sarda.
The Halloween Art exhibit will be showing original work from Amazing Halloween Artists, Shop for one of a kind Original Halloween paintings,sculptures,functional art pieces,jewelry and prints.
Be sure to wear your best costume, The Madman is holding a costume contest, Great Prizes will be given out to the top three best costumes. Judging will begin at 10:30PM
Dj Crazy Frog will be playing top Monster Mash-ups all night long. hypnotised by his Light show you need to keep up sooo wear comfortable shoes or none at all for those lazy eyed zombies.
Psycho Charger the ultimate Horror Raw-Kill-Billy band will be playing throughout the night. Times will be posted at a later date. Psycho Charger just released their new album "Mark Of the Psycho" You can check this band out at
www.Psychocharger.com.... Not in the Halloween mood this band will get you there!!
Hacunda the Haunted will be doing one on one tarot readings all night long.

Theatrical Illusions
A full Candy bar will be provided by Michaels Candy Corner. A feast of sweets to make anyone's eyes boggle. Don't forget about the candy Zombie girls staggering about!
A Witches Brew Bar provided by Villa Carmella will be serving bloody reds, ghostly Whites, and the Madman's top choice of beers. After you have made it past the nagging witch, have a try at one of our ghastly games...Including a Witch Hunt(times for Witch Hunt will be posted in front lobby)!!
After you have had your go at the games don't forget about your Zombie Prom Photos!
This is just some of the great entertainment that the Madman's Masquerade holds for the night of October 16th. You will just have to stop by and experience it yourself.
